[09/17/2018] Good news ! The EXPERI platform project with Valeriu and Eric as PI, was initiated. The objectives are to implement tools for testing and optimizing equipment and farming methods based on new opportunities in connected / intelligent agriculture ; to develop new concepts, models, methods and algorithms to innovate and design new products or services ; to provide high level knowledge enabling students to embark on entrepreneurship on new technologies and services.

Presentation of the team
The Signal Processing team is one of the four teams of the department Automatics and Signal Processing of the CReSTIC Laboratory (Research center in Sciences and Technology of the Information and the Communication, EA3804) of URCA (University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne). The team has 15 permanent staff.
The four research axes of the team are:
- Embedded sensors and systems: electromagnetic and capacitive sensors; intelligent and communicating instruments; broadband antennas; algorithm - architecture adequacy.
- Data processing and data mining: Multilinear algebra; Applied algebraic topology; Statistical and multi-scale analysis; Multispectral processing; Denoising; Source separation, inverse problem and sparse decomposition; Vibration analysis; Detection - decision; Non-supervised, dynamic and of non-stationary data clustering, segmentation
- Decision support and machine learning: (non) Parametric estimation; Data analysis with human factors; Data and information fusion; Evidence theory; Combination of classifiers; Pattern recognition; Supervised classification; Evolutionary algorithms; Deep learning
- Information Theory and Digital Communications Networks: Modern Correcting Codes (LDPC, TCC) and networks; Digital modulations; Interfering channels; Wireless communications; Distribution of processing; Cooperative communications
The cross-cutting theme "Smart Farming" carried out by the Signal Processing team is a strategic axis for the CReSTIC and will allow, among others, to increase the Chalons site's visibility and its local presence.
